At Star Tours, we aim to provide an enjoyable and completely hassle free service and so we provide our travellers with a range of pick-up points nationwide. Whether you are travelling from Manchester, Birmingham, Leeds or elsewhere, let us take care of you from start to finish. You may also select from various pick-ups in London and en-route to Dover free of charge. The pickups we provide are resource intensive and therefore we charge a minimal fare per passenger for this service.

General

Charges are per adult and per child. An infant will be charges 50% of the pickup charges. 

 

Southall, Wembley, East London and Folkstone are guaranteed pick-ups. All other pick ups will be charged according to the above table. Please specify the most convenient pick-up point on your Booking form at the time of booking. However, if for any reason, your initially booked pick-up point becomes unavailable, we will inform you prior to departure. 

 

Dover pick-up will be provided only if the ferry departs from the port of Dover and therefore Dover pick up is not guaranteed at all times. Although we endeavour to provide this pick up we are able to confirm Channel crossing 7 days prior to departure. If Channel crossing is not available then we will not be using Dover for our outbound travel. If you require Dover as your pick up then we will be able to confirm if it is available for your tour 7 days prior to departure. You can initially select Dover although if its unavailable then you will need to change (Star Tours will not be responsible for any costs associated with you changing your pick up). 

 

You should plan to be at your joining point no later than 15 minutes prior to the departure times stated above as coaches will not be delayed for passengers arriving late. 

 

Returning Times

Return journeys from the continent are scheduled to arrive at Dover between 19.00hrs and 20.00hrs approximately. We will then proceed to original pick-up points in London (arrival time between 21:00 hrs and 23:00 hrs) 

 

Waiting Time

We attempt to ensure that all listed departure/arrivals times are adhered to. However, due to circumstances beyond our control, there may be changes to the pick-up timings listed in our brochure. If there are any changes to your pick up, we will inform you 12 hours prior to your scheduled pick-up time. Due to congestion at ports of entry and traffic conditions beyond our control, there may also be delays in the times of departure for your respected pick-up and drop-off. Our representatives will communicate the details of waiting times to the parties concerned. On occasions where delays occur, there may be waiting times of up to 60 minutes. If the delay is more than 90 minutes for your drop-off then meals will be provided by Star Tours. Please take into consideration unexpected delays when booking onwards Flight/Train/Coach connections, as Star Tours cannot be held responsible for the loss or cost of any missed connections/bookings you may have.

 

Food & Service Stops

During scheduled pick up’s and drop-off’s, passengers are advised to carry water and food for their journey. Please note that en-route the driver will not be able to stop for breaks outside of the legal breaks if required. In the mornings, when you reach the point where you will join the group, the connection will be immediately and your tour will begin straight away. There may not be a chance for those who have travelled long distances to freshen up or have breakfast until the next available stop. As such, it is advised that passengers are prepared with comfortable clothing and a supply of water and food for that particular portion of their journey.

 

Type of Vehicle

During scheduled pick up’s and drop-off’s, passengers are advised to carry water and food for their journey. Please note that en-route the driver will not be able to stop for breaks. In the mornings, when you reach the point where you will join the group, the tour will begin straight away. There may not be a chance for those who have travelled long distances to freshen or have breakfast until the next available stop. As such, it is advised that passengers are prepared with comfortable clothing and a supply of water and food for the beginning portion of their journey. If you have arranged for an external pick up then transportation from your chosen pick up to the point where you will board the coach may be arranged by a private car, minibus or an alternative coach.

 

Sequence of Pick-Up and Drop-Offs

The pick-up and drop-off service is conducted to suit all of our customers throughout the UK. As our extensive range of locations span the length and breadth of England, the order of the service must be carefully planned. During your pick-up and drop-off, you may find that you will be travelling with other passengers who may be travelling to different destinations. The sequence of pick-up and drop-off will follow a systematic route through the various destinations. The pick-up and drop-off service will be grouped together as per the geographical locations of the respected locations. Star Tours will attempt to make each of the transfers as direct as possible, however please note that routes may be diverged. If your invoice does not state a pick-up time or states TBC, then please check with our sales team prior to travelling. If your pick-up time is stated then please arrive at your pick-up point at the time specified on your invoice.

 

Pick-Up/Drop-Off Amendment

You can change your pick-up point up to 10 days prior to departure free of charge. Within 10 days it may not be possible to make changes to your pick-up point. On bank holidays changes to pick up points or drops off can only be made 21 days prior to departure (Bank holiday for the purpose of the tour constitutes any departure which is active during the national holiday, regardless of the stage the tour is in). If possible then there will be a £10 admin charge per adult and child. Your choice of pick-up point will be by default your drop-off point. If there is any discrepancy between the two, please inform our reservation staff of the same. Any changes to either pickup or drop-off point within 10 days prior to your departure will be subject to an admin fee if it is possible for Star Tours to organise such a change. If no pick up point is selected at the time of booking, Wembley will be selected as a default pick up point.
