Payments

We offer several payment options so you can choose whatever feels easiest for you:

Credit or debit card:
You can pay by card. Please note that international cards issued outside the UK may carry a 2% surcharge.

Cheque:
Cheques are accepted, except when your tour is due to depart within the next 7 days.

Cash:
We’re able to accept cash payments at our branches.

Bank transfer:
Bank transfers are fine too, but not for tours departing within 7 days. For last-minute bookings, payments will need to be made by card or in cash.

Business card:
Payments made by business card have a 4% surcharge.

If you’re unsure which option is best for your booking or need help completing a payment, our team is always here to support you.

Your balance depends on the type of tour you’ve booked. For flight tours, the full amount is due 6 weeks before departure. For coach tours, it’s due 4 weeks before you travel.

Paying on time is important, as unpaid balances can lead to the booking being cancelled. A £10 admin fee applies for the first reminder or for late payments. If a tour is cancelled because the balance wasn’t settled, the cancellation charges in our T&Cs will apply.

Please note that we’re not able to delay balance payments for any reason, including pending visa processing. Keeping to the payment schedule helps ensure your booking remains secure.

If you’re ever unsure about your due date or need help checking your balance, just let us know — we’re here to make it as easy as possible.

If you’re booking through our website from India or the USA, payments can only be made in GBP (Pound Sterling). However, if you’re visiting one of our branches outside the UK, you may be able to pay in the local currency — it’s best to check with the specific branch to see what they accept.

We also have Euro and Dollar bank accounts that you can transfer to if that’s easier for you, though please be aware that local bank charges may apply.

If you’re unsure which option works best, feel free to contact us — we’re always happy to guide you through the payment process.

There’s no surcharge when paying with a personal credit card issued in the UK. If you choose to use a company or corporate card, a 4% surcharge will apply. For international credit or debit cards, the surcharge is 2%.

We always recommend choosing the payment method that works best for you, and if you’re unsure about anything, our team is here to help.

Yes. When you book online, you’ll need to pay either a deposit or the full amount to secure your place. Your booking is confirmed only once the payment has gone through, which guarantees your seat on the tour and locks in your chosen date. If you have any questions while booking, just let us know

Yes, your money is completely safe when you book with us. Star Tours is fully protected through ABTA and ATOL, which means your holiday and the funds you’ve paid are financially secure.

If anything unexpected were ever to happen, these protections ensure that your booking and your money are safeguarded. It’s there to give you peace of mind from the moment you book until the moment you travel. If you’d like to know more about how this protection works, just ask.

No, Star Tours does not store your card details. For any future payments, you’ll need to share your card information with us again. Our payment gateway may securely store your details in line with Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) regulations, but Star Tours itself does not keep this information.

Your security is really important to us, and all payments are processed through trusted, fully regulated systems. If you ever have questions about payment safety or need reassurance, we’re always here to help.

We can update your account as soon as the funds reach us and are confirmed in our system. Bank transfers usually take around 5–7 working days to show, and international transfers can take a little longer.

If you’d like us to make a note on your booking while the payment is on its way, you can send us a screenshot of the transaction. This helps us track it more easily and keep your account updated as soon as the funds arrive. We're always here to help if you need anything checked.

A screenshot is simply an image of what you can see on your screen at that moment. It’s a quick way of showing us your payment confirmation without needing to print anything.

After you complete your online bank transfer, you’ll usually see a page confirming the payment, with the amount, date and payee details. You can:

  • take a screenshot on your phone or computer, or

  • take a clear photo of the screen if that’s easier

Then just attach the image to an email and send it to [email protected] with your name and booking reference. This helps us match the payment to your booking and keep everything updated smoothly.

A bank transfer is when you send money directly from your bank account to ours. It’s a safe and straightforward way to make a payment without using a card. When you set up the transfer, just remember to include your booking reference as the payment reference — this helps us match the payment to your booking quickly and accurately.

If you’re unsure how to make a bank transfer or need the details again, just let us know

If you prefer to pay in your local currency, you may be able to do this by visiting one of our branches outside the UK. Each branch has its own accepted payment methods, so it’s best to check with them directly.

If you’re unsure which option is easiest for you, just get in touch — we’ll be happy to guide you through the process.

No — please don’t include your card details in an email. If you’d prefer to pay by card, simply note this on your booking form and a member of our team will call you to take your payment securely over the phone. This keeps your information safe and avoids sharing sensitive details by email. If you ever have questions about the best way to pay, we’re always here to help.

Please make all cheques payable to Star Tours Ltd.
