Baggage
Star Tours does not operate a luggage handling service for
this tour. Passengers will need to carry their own luggage.
Should a luggage hold be present this may be utilised for
pushchairs or wheelchairs (if adaptable). Luggage will not be
allowed on the vehicle where it exceeds the following: A
maximum weight of 10kg for this tour, and not exceeding
dimensions of x 45 x 43cm / 35.5 x 29.5 x 16ins).
In addition, you can also carry one piece of small hand
luggage (weighing up to a maximum of 7kg, and not exceeding
dimensions of 20 x 20 x 48 cm / 8 x 8 x 19 inches), which can
fit under their seat or in the overhead compartment.
All baggage is kept on the vehicle at the owners
risk.
Children & Young Infants
Car seats are not provided on any of our vehicles, but
passengers should carry car seats with travelling infants for
comfort and safety.
Pushchairs can be kept in the baggage lockers of the
vehicle, although size restrictions may apply.
Wheelchairs
We will accept lightweight manual wheelchairs for travel,
subject to them being capable of being stowed in the luggage
hold of the vehicle. It is also essential that a family
member is also on tour to push their wheelchair.
In most of Europe, the use of child seats in coaches is
mandatory for children under the age of 12 or who are shorter
than 150 cm. Children under 7 years old or less than 125 cm
tall must use a child seat with a harness or a restraint
system. Children between 7 and 12 years old or between 125 and
150 cm tall must use a booster seat or a seat cushion. It is
the responsibility of the child's parent or guardian to provide
the appropriate child seat for their child.
Coaches
All our vehicles are fitted with seat belts, air-cooling and
CD facilities.
All vehicles are either air conditioned or air cooling
systems, lowering to a maximum of 8-9ºC from the outside
temperature. Only food which is dry and cold can be taken onto
the vehicle. Curries, chips and other hot food are not
permitted or allowed to be consumed on the vehicle. In
addition, chewing gum, burgers, ice cream and other greasy
foods are not permitted on the vehicle.
Seat belts must be worn at all times whilst on the vehicle
for your own safety.
Distances & Journeys
An important point to note whilst on a touring holiday is
that some long journeys are unavoidable especially when
travelling from city to city. Star Tours recommend
passengers wear comfortable clothing. It is advisable
passengers carry necessities that they may need for the day
such as water, dry snacks, cameras etc. with them in their hand
luggage.
Other
We highly recommend you go through the general information
and Terms & Conditions prior to booking and travelling.
Seating Allocation
Please remember our staff cannot take requests for any
seats. Seat numbers will be given to you, on day one of your
tour. Passengers with children in their group will not be
seated near the front due to EU regulations & company
policy. No requests for seats are taken. Medical grounds for a
seat are not taken into consideration unless explicitly stated
by law.
Timings
Passengers should arrive at their pick up point 15 minutes
before the scheduled departure time. Your pick up point,
address and time will be stated on your invoice. Passengers
arriving late will need to make the necessary arrangements to
meet the vehicle at the next suitable location if the
connection is missed.
Tour Representatives
Professional drivers/reps accompany our tours throughout the
itinerary. Please note that this is not a guided tour, and only
includes transfers.
Travel Insurance
Star Tours strongly recommends you purchase travel
insurance. Passengers are advised not to carry unnecessary
valuables and to be vigilant at all times at tourist spots, as
well as on the vehicle. Travel insurance is recommended for all
individuals travelling.
