GBP are used in UK. Star Tours advices passengers
to exchange any spending money for their holiday before they
actually travel. Whilst on tour it is often not possible for
the tour manager to arrange for a passenger to be specially
taken to exchange money and not all places of interest
passengers will be visiting will have ATM machines or accept
credit/debit cards.

Health
It is strongly advisable to purchase health insurance before
travelling to UK. There are no requirements for
vaccinations this tour; however we always suggest checking
on the FCO website for the most up to date information.

Make sure you have adequate travel health insurance and
accessible funds to cover the cost of any medical treatment
abroad and repatriation.
Weather
Majority of the time you can expect rain in the UK so
we would advice that you bring a umbrella and a rain coat,
however during the summer months you can expect plenty of sun
with temperature reaching up 30 Degree Celcius.

Clothing & Accessories
Passengers should carry travel adapters so they can charge
their electronic items in their hotel room (as the sockets
in USA and elsewhere vary from those in the UK).
Passengers may also want to carry a small travel iron, hair
dryer, kettle etc, as many hotel rooms will not have these
facilities.
Your mobile phone may be able to receive calls whilst on
holiday, you can check with your network operator to switch on
the roaming feature of your mobile, there is usually an
additional charge to receive incoming calls whilst aboard.
Please ensure you do not carry any liquids in your handbag,
that are more than 100ml, whilst travelling on flights due
to security reasons.
It is vital to ensure you carry all medication you will need
on tour as well as names and doses of medications you are
taking.
Sunscreen is essential, the sun beats down virtually most of
the time during the summber months in UK, and you will need
some protection. Another essential is a decent hat. You could
just use a baseball cap although these tend to get quite hot
and sweaty. A safe bet is a bucket hat (sometimes known as a
fishing hat) which is a great choice because it provides good
cover from the sun for your face and the back of your neck too.
Theyre also usually made of cotton, so they breathe
easily. Clothing should be light, linen trousers and t shirts
are ideal, as are shorts. Lighter colours reflect the heat from
the suns rays, whereas darker ones absorb them, so you
will stay extra cool.
A quick word on footwear sandals or flip-flops and
trainers are the best options, as well as pair of shoes
for evening dinners. Please ensure you have comfortable shoes
for walking tours.
Toiletries are good to pack, especially as you do not know
in advance what your hotel might have but bear in mind
that all your favourite products will be widely available
in Londons shops and supermarkets. Some shaving
foam, a razor and some anti-perspirant will be useful but also
shower gel and shampoo might be a good thing to bring too.
